![]() ![]() Maybe the author of NEI is somehow a griefer/cheater friend (he programmed a cheating mode in his mod so he must be somehow a cheater) so he doesn't want to fix that thing so people can cheat and grief easy on many servers that have it installed and the owners are unaware of this fix. NEI is a special deal because it can be configured server-side to prohibit non-admins from accessing Cheat Mode. So mods like REI's Minimap or Optifine are client-side. I'd just rather not deal with his "product" at all. Basically, any mod which changes your perspective without changing the mechanics of the world around you is going to be client-side, generally. I can't stand the kind of attitude and disregard the NEI author has shown over fixing 1 or a few lines of code that he's completely aware of. ![]() Use WebStorm to debug and test your client-side and. I've been programing automated systems for 10 years now and have worked with many different programmers with many different attitudes. One of the best parts of working in an IDE is that all of your essential tools are available in one place. I just don't have any issues typing "/weather sun" or "/gm" and if all it does is link those few buttons to the client-side mod, I have no use for it anyway.Īlso, it's kind of a pet-peeve of mine that a programmer providing something to the public wouldn't fix a known issue that imposes potential exploits to those who aren't necessarily aware of how to manually fix them themselves. ![]() You're correct, there is a fix here and I do have it installed. ![]()
